I haven’t had electricity in three days.

I have running water and candles and plenty else besides. Twice daily, I kneel in the tub and rub my skin with cupped Cetaphil and water. A tree fell next to my house. I have been burning it during the night. I look at it now. The leaves wilt and are brittling, their undersides bloodless and showing.
